Winemaker Notes

Only the second vintage of this wine as we set out in 2015 with the singular and simple goal of crafting the best possible red wine, exclusively from our estate vineyards. We truly and honestly only want to express and showcase the uniqueness of these individual sites. Dark ruby in color, this wine shows darker fruit aromatically—blackberry cobbler, menthol, vanilla, cigar box, and boysenberry. Firm tannins and nice acidity—a complete expression of the McQueen vineyard. This comes around with great lush tannin from our LeFore vineyard in the Rocks District that makes up almost half of the blend. The wine slowly evolves on the palate and builds with incredible length, rich texture, and lasting finish. Drink now through 2046.
